Kurawura kuraa - This past week I had 100 children! Yes. 100 children! How amazing is that? 20 of those children being Fulani! Even more amazing. There have been some women coming that are listening very intently. This past week one of the women was late and another continued to explain the story to her. It was super cool to watch her explain the story to her friend! So awesome!
Alhassan kuraa - In this village I don't even have to walk through to get the children to come! We meet on the main road in town so they see me pull up and they come running! I love it! I also have to keep meeting the chief in this village. This week I asked him how he was doing. He said he was very strong. Haha. Oh Ghanaians! =] And then this week I had about 6 Fulani guys hanging out in the background. Not sure if they were listening. But, they were there and were super curious about this white girl was up to! haha! Hoping they come back!
Kadelso - This village. I just don't know if I get this village yet. There is a different spirit here. There seems to be a mentality of "Give Me" here more than any of the other ones. Its like I can just feel Satan holding onto that village. This week I had several children there... Which was amazing and several adults as well. I got hit on by 3 guys, luckily the FAKE engagement ring kept them away. Also, there was a drunk gentlemen there... It was an interesting visit! haha! But, I still had little Wahab there who is a great listener! I was missing about 5 girls that are usually good listeners as well. I"m assuming the Salah kept them away.
Every village is a little different. But I love each and every one of them and I love all the children in them! Its such a cool feeling to know that I am making a difference in their life and that they love me. For example, today I was in the truck with Amy and we were going over the Black Volta bridge and over this bridge we have to go very slow. And I waved at a couple girls thinking they looked very familiar. Next thing I know they're chasing the car hollering Madame Terah, Madame Terah! Haha! It was so cute. They were so excited to see me. They were from the village of Kurawura kuraa. I saw them again while we were running errands and they give me big smiles and waves. I love it. I love these children so much. I look forward to my weekends and getting to spend more time with them and watch them experience the Lord! Its amazing...
This past week I was just overcome with the feeling of, "I can't believe God chose me." I am a girl from Kinmundy, IL. A town where no one really leaves the country. A little blip on the map. And he CHOSE me to come here and tell these people; most of them for the first time, about the loving Creator we have! And I just don't know how to put this into words... But, I really don't understand Him choosing me. But, I am so thankful He did. I don't know. I hope I am making sense to you all! Haha!
I just want to ask you all to continue praying for me to have energy and and excitement for the children! Pray that I continue to represent Christ! And pray for their hearts to be receiving of Him. And one last thing. Pray for Kadelso. They especially need it.
